Event Description (Available Tickets Below Video)

Rag’n’Bone Man, born Rory Charles Graham, is a British singer and songwriter known for his deep, soulful voice and emotionally charged songs that blend blues, soul, hip-hop, and contemporary pop influences. Rising from underground music circles to international stardom, he has carved out a unique space in modern music with his gritty vocals and heartfelt storytelling.

Born on January 29, 1985, in Uckfield, East Sussex, England, Rory grew up in a musical household. His father was a guitarist, and his early influences ranged from blues legends like Muddy Waters to hip-hop icons like Wu-Tang Clan. As a teenager, he started out as a rapper in local hip-hop crews before gradually shifting toward singing, encouraged by friends who recognized the depth and power of his voice.

He adopted the stage name Rag’n’Bone Man, a nod to the old British term for junk collectors, reflecting his love for mixing genres and musical influences. His early work saw him performing at small gigs, open mic nights, and in collaboration with underground producers. In 2014, he released the Wolves EP, which began to gain traction in the UK, showcasing his ability to fuse soulful melodies with modern beats.

Rag’n’Bone Man’s big break came with the release of “Human” in 2016. The single, featuring his signature raw vocals and introspective lyrics, became an international hit, topping charts across Europe and peaking at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart. Its success led to the release of his debut album, also titled Human, in 2017. The album was both a critical and commercial triumph, debuting at No. 1 in the UK and selling over a million copies within a year.

The Human album produced several other standout tracks, including “Skin” and “Grace”, further highlighting his ability to balance soulful ballads with gritty, modern production. The record earned him several major awards, including British Breakthrough Act and Critics’ Choice Award at the 2017 Brit Awards, cementing his status as one of the UK’s brightest new talents.

In 2021, Rag’n’Bone Man followed up with his second studio album, Life by Misadventure. The album showcased a more introspective and stripped-back sound, recorded in Nashville with a live band. It featured songs like “All You Ever Wanted” and “Anywhere Away from Here,” a poignant duet with pop star P!nk. The album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, reaffirming his enduring appeal.

On the personal side, Rory is known for his humble and grounded demeanor despite his fame. He became a father in 2017 with the birth of his son, and much of his later songwriting reflects themes of personal growth, fatherhood, and life’s complexities. He’s also been open about his love for tattoos, which cover much of his body, each telling a story from his life and musical journey.

Today, Rag’n’Bone Man continues to be celebrated for his unmistakable voice and authentic, soul-baring music, earning him a dedicated global fanbase and a respected place in modern British music.
